The School of Nursing Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti was accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria in the month of January 2012, and has been approved to commence academic programme in the 2012/2013 academic session expected to begin in November, 2012.

The School is the first to be approved for a Federal Medical Centre in the Country.

The School is located in a serene environment that is conducive for learning with standard hostel accommodation for students.


To deliver highest quality nursing training using state of the art infrastructure, cutting edge technology, highly integrated and comprehensive information, education and research.


Our vision is to prepare highly skilled nurses who will assist client and families in promoting optimum health, preventing diseases, alleviating suffering and bringing cost effective health care services to their doorsteps thereby complementing the ideals which the Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti stands for.

Minimum of five credits at maximum of two sittings. These include:

• English Language

• Mathematics

• Biology

• Chemistry

• Physics

AGE: Candidate’s age should not be less than seventeen (17) years.


The cost duration is three (3) full years.


After completion of the course, the certificate will be awarded as a registered nurse (RN) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
